I wont lie. I'm missing John.
I suppose it's hard going from 5 years of thinking you'll marry one person, then jumping into a marriage with someone else.
I am happy, and I'll be even happier once I've got a job, I'm sure that's a lot of my depression problems right there. Some days are harder than others. I woke up this morning thinking I was next to one person, and it was another.
I hope he's happy and has gotten his life straightened out. |

This weekend wasn't so great. Nate's birthday was Saturday, which went well for the majority of the day. We got up, I made his favorite cookies, we went to see The Hangover (very funny, by the by) then had lunch out. We had dinner with his dad and Roxann at some cool sandwich place. Then that night we ended up getting in an argument about his stoner friend Jeremy. That sort of bled over into Sunday. We were both pissy at each other most of the day, culminating in an argument at Bryan and Connies, where I ended up leaving. After a few hours he phoned for a ride home and we were fine from then on, but it's weird. I don't think we've ever had a proper fight before. Awkward feeling, much?
He's back off to work today, I'm sitting around browsing the job sites yet again. His dad found a posting for the Jackson zoo... apparently they're hiring someone to feed the animals. Sounds kinda cool to me. And at fourteen bucks an hour to start... I'm in! :P
Should be hearing about that job at the University of Mississippi sometime this week too. Fingers crossed for an interview for that one.
Off to Florida this weekend for Nate's cousin Josh's wedding. Its odd to me being able to just pack up and head to Florida in like four hours. When Manda and I drove there it took two days of driving.
Roxann asked if I'd help her out at their bible school this weekend. I didn't today, but I may later this week. I don't really do the religion thing, but it's something to do to get me outa the house. I dunno. We'll see how desperate I get :)
I'm off. Laundry and dishes to be done, and Dublin wants a cuddle, needy little fellow that he is :) |

It has been a very, very long time since I've even glanced at this thing. But, I am feeling the urge to post, so here I am once again.
I am now living in MS, which is ... interesting. Very hot, very gross, and very unemployed! Also very married :) Today is Nate's birthday. I'm baking him his favorite cookies at the moment, then we're off to see The Hangover and have dinner at his dad and step-mom's house. Everything feels like it happened so fast. But it's good.
I have a feeling I'll be back here more often now. |

Well, I figure since Blizz is making me download a massive patch on my slow ass computer I can take the time to write up a quick update! Not tons been going on in the world-o-me as usual. Started classes yesterday, a Non-fiction class for the moment. It's ok I guess - weird considering Im mainly a fiction person, but it makes a nice change :)
Been raining lots here (hurrah!) so been going on a lot of walks. Stopped in at the CNAS which in my WoW euphoria have neglected to do all bloody summer (can't believe summer's half over already! didn't even notice it go by!) but everyone was out of the office for the week apparently, so I shall say a 'hello April!' here instead and hopefully manage to get over there again next week :)
Hm. other than that not much happening - going to England/Ireland next month. Get to meet up with a bunch of my Guildies on WoW (some may find it sad, but I'm excited =P) Staying the weekend with them in Devon. Woo! Should be good times :)
Found my big bro, Gary, on myspace yesterday. Funny way to have to find family huh :)
Not much else to report that I care to spend the time typing about and my patch has just finished installing, so snagging an hour of WoW while I can. Stupid class and homework keep me busy all day. No time to play anymore! :(

Manda tried Honey Mustard & Onion (Snyder's) pretzels AND salt & Vinegar Pringles this week...shocker! Both followed by a violent teeth scrub and drinking a gallon of mouth wash, but at least she tried them =P And oh well - more for me! ;)
In other news - Rae's 70 and has her flappy! hurrah! (only took frickin forever!). And Irlande's nearly there too :)

I just had my last class of my first semester of grad school - wewt, Ive almost made it! =P Not quite ofc, I still need to write two massive papers that are due next week that I haven't really given a moment's thought yet - eek - and am meeting Annessa at the library tomorrow since she hasn't either (we discussed during class tonight) so maybe between the two of us we can come up with something for us both to write about. Hopefully! I managed to lose one of my favorite earrings on my way out of class as well - decided to do a little dressy-up thing since it was the last class and I was giving a presentation (on Desmond Tutu and the Truth & Reconciliation Commission - would strongly recommend reading No Future without Forgiveness by said Desmond Tutu) - that will teach me to ungrunge myself to go out in public. So angry. Loved those earrings. >.< Even backtracked 3 times so it must be in the classroom (was locked up by the time I got back). le sigh. And in other news, Manda will be back soon :) Hurrah. Is selfish of me to say this since she's home for very good reasons, but I so wish she was up here. I dunno if I could ever actually manage to live on my own. I'm so bored (even with all of this school work) that I actually held a conversation with my office assistant last night. Y'know the wee orange kitty in Microsoft Word? Yeah, we had a nice long meaningful talk... then we argued a little... then I apologized and went to bed. It's not nice to go to bed angry after all.
Back to homework. Have good weekends, all. |

Well, I was scolded for not updating to say I'd changed my layout - so ta da. 'tis changed.
Not much going on as usual. Since I can't get work study to save my life, Susan is also trying to get me a job at the Northwind as a secretary - apparently they're short. I did also get in as a writer, so will be getting a spot in the summer issue for something small to see how it goes then more in the fall after I've gotten used to it all :) Will be nice to have a few clips anyway!

So, I feel like now that I have a paid account I should change my layout, only I really adore my Dublin one. *confused* I s'pose I could always write down how I have it, then come back to it later after my time's run out. But I've had this one for at least a year or two now... sort of attached, I am ;)
I've applied to be a writer for the Northwind... Susan's been after me to do it for awhile now and I kept not going, so she dragged me over after class last night. We'll see what happens, I guess.
Other news, just realizing how late I've put off even so much as finding topics for my two term papers, not to mention my last two presentations of the semester. Can we say panic? I think I'll be living in the library any day now... once I can get over my laziness and actually bother to lift a finger to do something for myself =P
Mom's coming back from FL sometime soon I guess, yay her. (She didnt even call me on my birthday :( Though my big sis did - that was weird. Can't remember if she's always called me on my birthday or not, but I highly doubt it. Speak to 'er maybe a couple of times a year and usually only when I'm home and she happens to stop by to see Mom.) 'Twas mostly a good birthday anyway despite mass (and I do mean mass) quantities of snow. Yay snow days.
